About this deal

Our mission is to provide paint that is as close to the original shades as possible. Please be aware, shades may differ depending on viewing device. We are now able to exclusively offer a choice of Enamel to meet your growing requirements: The following images show the final product next to its container. Also shown is the other product that has been available for quite some time.

We are a family owned and managed business that has been manufacturing military vehicle paints and other paint types since 1894. This shade was also developed independent of having an original paint sample. However, once Jim Gilmore provided me with this sample I was able to make some slight adjustments to the production of Shade #8. I also have built four 1/72 Airfix vehicles (2 AFV and the RAF emergency set) exactly 48-45 years ago. So what's the current wisdom? The most tempting ideas I've seen so far are (enamel) a 50:50 mix of FS34087 and FS30118 (both of which I think I have in Xtracolor) and (acrylic) Vallejo Luftwaffe Brown Violet (which I certainly don't have).

By adding our UV protection to your paint, you can add years to the life of your paint. Our UV protector cuts out the harmful elements of the suns rays, thus extending your paint's life from bleaching. Safety Data Sheets For a standard respray of a jeep which is already green, 6 will do. But for a brand new restoration, taking into consideration all the small separate parts away from view, and the underneath could take up to 8 to 10. Always over-buy. Keep leftover tins for scruffs and scrapes. BTW I wonder which AFVs will be your "first five" after these 45 years. My list consists of: Renault FT, Renault UE, Mark IV, PzKpfwIV and PzKpfw V.

Primer: We can also provide RAL Aerosol colours in a self etching primer ideal for aluminium, zinc, steel & re-coatable plastics Cellulose Spray paints: For most applications a Cellulose formulation is recommended. It offers fast drying and a flawless, durable finish. Obviously these few images above do not come close in recording the amount of effort that this project required over the last year. Using the latest in computerised mixing systems we can ensure a close match and we use only the highest quality paint to ensure a flawless and durable finish. The most affordable supplier of custom filled BS 381C Olive Drab 298 paint canisters in the UK from the RAL Classic Colour Chart. So if there is any doubt as to which shade you should use on your vehicle, it is solely based on your personal preference. “Which shade is correct for my WWII _________?” WWII Yellow Drab #316 is now available in spray cans. This shade of yellow was reengineered from an original can of paint from WWII and an original copy of the US Army Spec. 3-1 paint chip manual dated April 1943. Compared to Q panels that were recently painted with a currently available Blue Drab paint it was obvious that there was some distance between colors, not just hues. Without any doubt, this shade was the hardest to replicate to date. We rejected six samples from the manufacturer. The finish was too glossy, too blue, too gray, etc. This shade is actually much greener and grayer than what is currently available.
